From the heart

Hello, family and friends, and thank you ever so much for visiting my site! Also, I would like to extend a huge thank you to my husband, Shawn, for delivering this fine site to me, as I couldn't do this entire venture without his love and support. Third, I would like to thank my children for the "good job, Mom" comments every time I have completed a cake! Finally, I would like to thank all of my friends and family who have watched my cake art portfolio grow as well as extend an enormous hug to Ms. Bon, my Wilton cake instructor, who recognized my potential and talent in the middle of a JoAnn's Craft Store. The rest is history! I became the student who could look "outside of the box" and began to realize: "If I can visualize it then I can draw it. If I can draw it, then I can create it."

You see, my history of cake baking goes back to my childhood, as I loved to be in the kitchen baking with my Grandmother. Once I had become a teen, I would create any type of dessert including cakes, bread, muffins, and puddings whenever I had the opportunity. Simply put: My Mother could not keep flour or sugar in the house! I just couldn't resist trying new recipes...and so, I have carried that with me throughout my life. If there is a baked good needed at my children's school or at our local church, I am called upon, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Through my launching of "Operation ButterCream" in February 2012, I am able to devote some of my creative and delicious efforts for charity and other organizational events and causes, because I enjoy giving back to the community. That's just me.

In January 2012 I had taken an "All that Bling" class with Norman Davis, the Ultimate Cake Off Winner, and continue to learn new techniques to enhance my cake art skills. Today I am experienced in all areas of cake decorating including butter cream, fondant, gum paste, royal icing, edible transfers, edible books, piping, figurines, cutouts, special requests, etc. Please feel free to view my creations and, once again, thank you for visiting my site and believing in my passion of cake decorating and baking!!!!

Happy baking and blessings!
